AirDesk

AirDesk is a multi-tenant B2B platform for travel companies that buy airline group seats and sell them through a network of travel agents. It does the whole job: loading the group, holding seats, chasing the payment deadline, verifying the payment, issuing tickets and posting every rupee to a double-entry ledger. Spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups are no longer needed to keep it all straight.

The story

Why AirDesk exists

Agents get their own portal where they browse live departures, book seats for adults, children and infants, upload passports (fields are read automatically from the MRZ), submit payment proof and download e-tickets. The platform team gets one console for inventory, bookings, concessions, agent approvals, a complete accounts department and, for Umrah operators, everything from vouchers and MOFA data to hotel beds, transport, arrivals and check-out.

Before AirDesk

The problem it solves

  1. 1

    Seat counts drift

Group seats are tracked in spreadsheets, so seats get double-sold, PNRs overfill and nobody can see what is actually left.

  2. 2

    Deadlines are missed

Agents hold seats and never pay. Releasing those seats by hand is slow, and inventory sits idle while it waits.

  3. 3

    Finance runs on reconciliation

Bookings live in one place and the accounts in another. Every month-end means matching receipts, refunds and supplier bills by hand.

  4. 4

    Umrah operations run on paper

Vouchers, hotel rooming, transport and airport movements are coordinated over phone calls and chat groups.

AirDesk replaces all of this with one system where every seat movement and every money movement is recorded, linked and auditable.

A closer look

From the first step to live

How it works

  1. 1

Platform loads a group: route, flights, cabins, fares and airline PNRs

  2. 2

Agent browses live groups and books seats for adults, children and infants

  3. 3

Seats are held across PNRs and a payment deadline starts counting down

  4. 4

Agent adds passengers (OCR autofill) and submits payment proof

  5. 5

Finance verifies the payment, the booking confirms and the ledger posts automatically

  6. 6

Platform issues ticket numbers, and the agent downloads e-tickets

  7. 7

Unpaid holds expire on their own and seats return to inventory

In the real world

Where it fits

  • Airline group ticket consolidator selling to 100+ sub-agents
  • Umrah operator managing packages, vouchers, hotels and transport
  • Travel company replacing spreadsheets and a separate accounting package
  • Agency network that needs controlled credit, deadlines and approvals
  • Visa desk posting bulk invoices to agents from issuance exports

The ending

What changes

  • No more double-sold seats. Holds and confirmations are locked per inventory lot
  • Unpaid holds release themselves when the deadline passes, so seats go back on sale
  • Agents serve themselves, which cuts phone and WhatsApp traffic
  • Bookings and the accounts are one system, so month-end needs no reconciliation
  • Every seat and money movement can be traced back to a person and a time
  • Passport data is captured in seconds, with fewer typing errors at the airport
  • Umrah operators run sales and ground movements without a second tool
